Sunrise vs Today Show

What is with these shows?

Over time they have basically become the same show just on different networks.

Similarities:

1. Both shows start and finish at the same time every day.
2. Both shows have news/sport/ and weather on the half hour.
3. Both shows have a separate person to perform the most basic things;
   Two hosts (one male, and one female)
   News reporter
   Sports reporter
   Weather reporter
4. Both shows have their weather reporters out at some location where they can blast advertisements through for 5 minutes and then talk about the weather for 1 minute.
5. Both shows have a traffic helicopter. Like co’mon what a waste.
6. Both shows have an entertainment correspondent from LA. They even look the same.

I’m sure there is even more similarities between these shows but I just can’t stand to watch them.

Criminal Minds

Crminal Minds is being shown twice a week and I am enjoying it. It follow the common crime solving drama style but its unique perspective gives it an added bonus.

Something that I have noticed is that Channel Seven is advertising it as “the fastest growing show in the US with over 17 million viewers”. Is this how the good shows are determined now? by viewers in the US? What they are probably really trying to say is “watch this show because it is popular in the US so it wont be cancelled next week!”
